Your Instagrammable Selfie

Image: Is your Instagram self really you?

Behind the confines of your phone screen, thanks to Instagram, you have the ability to create your own image of yourself. Whether this be the person you actually are in real life or if it's another self entirely, it's up to you. Each personal Instagram account is someones own self-narrative, telling their own story (Kuttainen, 2016).

However, how "real" are these people being. With the ability to crop and edit photos and to even add filters to essentially "make yourself look better" you have to ask yourself what you lose along the way.
